Plan a day that fits

Today shows everything you want to do today, and how much time that takes against the hours you have. The time bar never turns red: it only tells you, calmly, when the day is full.

Read the time bar

At the top of Today you see how many hours are planned and how many you have. The bar fills as you add tasks with a duration. The striped end is your buffer: time kept free for interruptions. Above 100% the bar shows in amber how much is too much, so you can move something before the day starts.

A busy day with meetings? Press Change for today and slide the hours down. Only this date changes; your usual hours stay the same.

Give tasks a time

Switch to List + day plan to see your day as a column of hours. Drag a task into the column to plan it at that time, or press the clock next to a task and pick an hour. Drag a block to move it, pull its bottom edge to make it longer or shorter, or press the cross to take it out of the plan again.

Not every task needs a time. Planned blocks are for the things you really want to protect, like deep work. The rest stays on the list.

Questions

What happens to tasks I did not finish?

They come along to the next day under Carried over. Nothing turns red; you decide whether to do it, move it or let it go.

Where do I set my hours per day?
